Malawi, "The Warm Heart of Africa", lies at the south eastern end of the Great Rift Valley. The 585 km long Lake Malawi covers more than 15% of the country. Enclosed by hills and mountains and edged by palm-fringed sandy beaches it is the most beautiful of Africa´s great lakes.
